The new DVLA road tax rules, which come into force in April will only affect new vehicles registered from 1st April 2017, vehicles registered before 1st April 2017 will not be affected by this change.
Under the new rules only electric and hydrogen cars will be exempt.
A car emitting 99g/km bought before 1 April 2017 will be free of road tax for life but those bought after the date will cost £120 in the first year, and £140 a year thereafter.
These changes are coming soon, so here at ACL we want you to be aware of all the facts and figures to help with your purchase prior and after April 2017.
